The Texas Mile

Been reading about the Texas Mile, but couldn't find any of the Tech and safety requirements. Also read that the Taurus Police Interceptor, according to the Michigan State Police, had a top speed of 150 MPH. Is this a governed speed? And what is the difference in the power trains of a Taurus SHO and the Taurus PI assuming the PI has the twin turbo engine?

I have run that race a couple of times. As long as your car is in good stock condition. With good condition tires. I found the tech inspection to be easy and quick.

Give it a try as it's the fastest I have ever driven a car! Saw 180 mph after the lights too.
Have not added to my mods so did not go this year. Note I was not driving the Eco-Boost MKS.

You should do both. I gave up on Bonneville since the salt destroys everything and the regulations are much more involved.

How fast have you driven? I have not driven 200 yet and may never get to but that's a goal!
