Sorry guys, I didn't mean to get your hopes up. By yearly check-up I meant Emissions testing. She hasn't been on a real dyno since about 08 where she put down 300/300. More than enough to scare the bejeebus out of me if I let it build boost too quickly. I have her on the pump gas, no nitrous tune and had to pull into a gas station to fill her up for the trip to the testing station, and as usually happens, a crowd gathered around the engine. Two women spotted the graphics on the hood of the semi ***** woman with er... um... large personalities and wanted to know who modeled for the artist. Two or three guys hung out at the engine, wondering about the Ford AND YAMAHA on the same engine. Had to start it up for them after they spotted the turbo.
Two of the guys in one truck followed me out onto Tatum and shadowed her for a while. When I got her in third, I rolled on the throttle a little too fast and for a split second too long and the front end came way up. Scared the peewater out of me so I took it easy from then on.
And that is the rest of the story...
