Hi Sam,
I don't want to be a smart a$$ or anything like it, but I am offering to take over that thread, like I first offered. I check on the forum at least 3 times a day, I love numbers and statistics and it would be no problem to have that thread updated daily... If you have no objections, please let me know how you can pass it over to me, if not, well I don't know, I am just trying to help in keeping that list updated...
Thanks!
Steve

I love all the activity in here lately. although the original list got updated about once a year lol which was not great , I don't think its imperative that it be updated 3 times a day with runs half a tenth faster then another. I dont think anyone is loosing sleep at night over it.

On another note my shortblock is back together , top-end going together this week and hopefully seeing the track the next friday/sat :)

Settle down, The list will get updated. You have to remember I'm doing this on my free time while I'm deployed here in Iraq. The list is updated at least twice weekly which is plenty, I'll update it, Just have some patience. :)

Any spin you have is slowing you down... but any spin you don't have (if you have enough power) means you are not launching fast enough. So it is easier to launch until you hear your tires spinning, but not too much...

Not all slip/spinning makes you slower ;)

List updated. I also added a Top ten MPH list, compiled from the ET list. You might notice I kept the buggy out, I'm trying to keep that list limited to "Door slammers".

On that note, the Gen 1 & 2's are killing it in the MPH!

If I don't make it this year, I'm heading to KC to run the 1/4-mile next year. I'm curious to see what this would do at much lower altitude and without issues. :)

The car should have more power next year too!

No problem Sam, I didn't know you were in Iraq first and it is just that I love it and I was offering to take over since it looks I have more time, that's it... If you insist on wanting to continue, that's cool! Peace!... I mean it peace ; )

I drove almost 3 hours yesterday to get to the closest dragway where it wasn't raining! i was very motivated. There was a tail wind of 5 mph and the weather was around 50F! So, in my mind I was there to beat my record... which I did, but it could have been better if the track was in proper shape... It looks like it was abandoned for the past ten years! They had put glue... but the preivous weekend and since there weren't many cars, they decided it was not worth the price to apply more... So, I ran 28 runs!!!
All of them with one tenth of second difference. I can't believe how consistent that car is... the perfect car for bracket racing.
So I had my new best 1/8 and 1/4 :
8.129 sec. at 84.98 mph
12.710 sec. at 107.89 mph
My best 60 ft. was 1.802 sec. but all-day between 1.80 and 1.86...
It was mainly the second portion of the 1/4 mile that was very bumpy... very alomost scary!
I realize that the track I usually go to (Napierville, Quebec) is really well maintained and it is fast. So, I will try to go one more time this season and hopefully I can get the same weather conditions... I still believe I can make a pass in the 12.5's!
We'll see!
Cheers! and OMG SHO!
Steve
P.S. I got new videos, soon to be on youtube (one from inside which I ran 12.74 against a modded Camaro SS that ran 12.85 and the other from outside a 12.76 pass)... slip to come also. _Thanks for the update Sam!

thats the reason why i hate luskville

i don't know where the money goes sometimes they repaved part of the track but its still not enough that last bit gets rough and kind of scary in a large vehicle... also freaks you out when you dont' have a lot of room to stop

Thanks for the update Sam... BTW, I did a best trap speed of 109.29mph but it was not in my best run, it was in a 13.1 run... FWIW if you want to bump the tenth place for that one, if not, I will have to beet it again before month ends.
Thanks!
Steve
P.S. When are you coming back from Iraq?

Got a correction.... Pat McGrath's times are from his '89 SHO. He never had a '90.

Also, if we're putting high altitude, mine were run in Denver as well :).
