Being a "Northerner" lol I would say that we could meet you guys at Black Bear Resort & Casino as it is right on 35 and about 15 miles just before Duluth in Cloquet so is to not get confused for you guys... Gooseberry sounds like a great option but I have not been there before so maybe Brett has more insight into this... I am down for whatever... I am still looking for any upcoming things/events/gatherings etc of any sort... will keep you guys posted

Gooseberry is very nice and so is split rock. If this is the route you guys decide to go make sure you bring some warm clothes as its freezing up here lately and split rock being on the lake there's some really cold wind, hopefully the weather will turn around from what it's been.

The swinging bridge at jay cooke is also a cool spot. Jay Cooke Superior is just 6-10 minutes over the bridge and theres some things there to, barker's island has mini golf and the whaleback. Whaleback

Ben (sho'leary) said he'd be willing to have a bbq or something of the nature at his place if given some notice ahead of time. He lives about 10 mins south of duluth in esko right up jay cooke rd.

Might need the Winter jackets and maybe even snowsuits or longjohns. Tonights Forecast is 44 on Sat for a high and that's down here, so I suppose about 10 below windchill atleast near the lake anyway? :shiver:

I ended up reserving a room at black bear. They had non smoking in the new tower for 70 bucks. I didn't think that was bad, since rooms at my job on the weekend are about 130.

So, has anyone decided for sure what we want to do?

I'm game for Gooseberry Falls and Splitrock and whatever else if daylight allows w/some kind of fairly quick lunch in there since the daylight is dwindling fast now and then maybe having a good meal somewhere around 7:30ish when darkness hits before heading home or hitting the casino, etc..

Sho'leary cannot host the bbq at his house. but there are plenty of parks right in town with grills etc which might work out better anyways. I do have a garage if anyone needs it I.E. something happens.

Ok everyone, its Thursday, so we should all be decided by now who is going and who is not. I would like to get a list of every one who is meeting in north branch to make the drive to meet thr northerners at black bear. That way we know if we have everyone or not when we want to leave. I will be there at 830am. If you have issues, or are running late, my cell is 651 755 6733, please call. I would guess we would leave the lot about 930 or so.

Also, those of you up north, who is all coming to meet us at black bear, and can we get a phone number in case we have any probs.

I will be brining a full size spare, and my floor jack along with a 4 way just in case.

I think that's it. Back to work.
