Just a note to say thanks to everyone that helped make the 2008 convention a real success. We had close to 60 cars, and after gas hit $4+/gallon, I consider that a real accomplishment!
Weather could not have been better, same with the company, food, and the host hotel worked wonderfully well.
Special thanks to Mike Stimson and everyone at SHO Source for help in putting on this event, and making the visits that I and my family could not due to distance/costs involved.
We raised $3800 for Charity, plus another $175 that we let the Alfa Club donate to their favorite local charity that was for the noon lapping at the wonderful Pacific Raceways track Driver Education/lapping event.
Next year we to to the opposite end of the country, , celebrate the 20th anniversary of the SHO, and find out how the far NorthEast can do in helping put on another SHO Convention.
Look for details soon.
Thanks again to everyone that attended, those that volunteered to help during the event, especially our SHOw judges, and to my family for putting up with this madness for 17 years.
