Hi all,

I just wanted to say that even though my time was cut waaay too short, I had a great time and hope we can do it again sometime.

Maybe the car will perform better then, at least I won't have two other people and 80 pounds of luggage to contend with then, but it was a blast and the spot was perfect, very scenic and a fun drive to boot.

Once again, it was great meeting you all and I hope we can all to it again soon.

Me too! I had a great time as well. Thanks for letting us guys tag along from San Antonio. It was great meeting you guys from DFW and Houston. I appreciate the hard work that went into planning and staging everything. No one got hurt, no one's SHO broke, and no one got arrested. All in all, a great time!

I had a good time too. We did have a couple of non-SHO drivers of our group "counseled" by the Marble Falls law enforcement official for allegedly passing on the right. And there were a couple of minor bruises on the 3.0L Vulcan Shaggin' Wagon's front transmission seal and Jeremy's upper radiator hose leak, but nothing irrepairable.

The trip was a bit slower this year due to the greater amount of traffic on the scenic roads on a nice Spring day, but that didn't stop the day from being a positive experience. I have some pictures to upload and will notify you when this has been done.

So I guess that MFPD decided to pick on the WS-6 and the Lexus instead of the innocent-looking Tauri?

LOL

I hope nobody got into any trouble.

So what's next??

My favorite part of the trip was the top speed runs and the grudge matches. I was impressed by how many SHOs where there. I think I counted 15 plus the wagon. Thanks for a fun time. Josh

Well without the help of the sho brotheren, I wouldn't have been able to make the run this time. I really appreciate the help that Mike and Adam gave me. Kerby for buying me way too many Shiner Bochs, Scott for taking pictures of those HOT girls at the Oasis..Tony for finding Jenna Bush on 6th st, and also buying me too many drinks..Scott for saving my sho engine once again...and all the guys that helped make the day fun..those of you that backed out or were unable to make it....you missed it..

Martin and I kind of discussed the fall run being in the Bandera area northwest of Kerrville. The scenery there is breathtaking as well. Just for a change of pace..feedback is appreciated.. thumbs_u

Had fun running with you guys and hitting Sixth Street!

Looking forward to next time!
Sounds like everyone had an enjoyable time. I wish I could have stuck around for 6th street, but even after plenty of sleep last night I'm still tired as a result of coming down with a cold friday.
The fall run WILL take place in Bandera, unless a suitable alternative is found. I believe we've torn up the marble falls area enough for the past few years.

Here's a partial list of those who made it, anyone want to write a summary? Perhaps we could get it on the LSSHOC site, that hasn't been updated in 5 years...

Thanks for the photos, Scott. Kerrville or Fredericksburg area sounds great. I will see if Damien wants to go up this summer and do a preview run to find some good back roads and straights. Any SHO owners out there from Kerrville or peach country?

Damien is certainly down for that, Papa..

Just let me know when and where.

Next time I run, it'll be without so much baggage and passengers, especially those who whine about my driving.LOL

Any road west of Kerrville to Rocksprings and south to Camp Wood and east to Medina will satisfy your need for speed and curves. Ford SVT was out there testing the Contour SVT's before they came out. A jillion motorcyclist are out there every weekend.

That's the best and safest way to enjoy your SHO. The track event at the convention is the best part of going to the convention, $125 for as much track time as you can stand. After 2 sessions half the people leave and you get more time in the afternoon. The bad thing is the convention is in the summer when it's hotter than hot.

The last thing we want to do is share the twisting back roads with a jillion motorcyclists. Let's promote a chili cookoff in Big Bend the same weekend for the bikers and get them out of the hill country for the day. Wait a minute, they already do that. When is the Chili Cook-off in Terlingua? That would be a great time to sneak up to the Texas Hill Country.
