Quick question... when testing for spark... how do u use a timing light to do so?? Any other methods of doing so? :) Just curious as to the easiest way to do so :)

I never tried this on the SHO, but did one the RX-7. I just placed the sparkplug gap end very close, but not touching the plug wires and had someone to crank the car as I watched for sparks in a pitch black garage and I seen the spark jump to the plug. I don't know if this is possible on the SHO due to the boots at the end of the wires.

shut the car off, pull the spark plug boot, and place it on top of the valve cover. Have someone crank the engine and you will see spark or you won't.

If you have a timing light, connect it to the #5 plug wire. That's the one in center closest to the radiator but is way easier to reach than the #1 wire. It fires the same time as the #1 plug and can be handy to check your actual timing.
