Temperature guage on dash not working

so everything on the taurus is working pretty good, a little bit of an oil leak but it is only going to see the road for a bit longer. i had a long drive up to college again and brought all my tools just in case. my temperature sensor i think is shot. im pretty sure it sits just below the throttle body right? if somebody would confirm this and maybe have an idea of the name i would replace the part. any help would be great. oh and i really dont think its the dash sensor that is broken, i think its on the motor. thanks

very easy fix wont take u very long at all even taking your time......

well i cracked my old thermostat housing, which SUCKS. ehh oh well more work to come

ok this is really bugging me, does anyone have an idea what the thing is called you put your thermostat in? is it the housing? i drove 35 minutes to an autozone that said they had one then told me they didnt when i got there. is it a ford only part? car is stick right now. Rad. fluid everywhere. where can i find one of these parts??? thanks

OOHHH! I've been there! Its a coolent manifold-there are two-front is a thermostat housing & rear is the heater manifold. Both must be removed & re-installed together! See my post here.

well yea that works, but WHERE did you get that damn thing. the only ONE and by one i mean the only freakin one i have found is for a 3.2 SHO and i dont know if it will fit. and i gotta order it on ebay. did you fix your old one? i am considering welding it tommorw, im gonna try it. screw it. any help tonight would be great though. thanks a lot

One from 3.2 will work! I got mine off a friends parts motor. Its cast aluminum so welding is special! I may have another.

if you have another that would be great. yea my buddy jon is a damn friggan good welder. i think we might try to fix it today but i dont know how good its gonna work. if you have another i will take it if this weld job doesnt work but i was told that i would deffinatly be able to weld it if i can get access to our colleges welders today.

nope no welding is gonna be done, cracked to bad, just a bunk idea to try that. if you have another one i would be so greatful if i could have it or buy it or whatever you want. give me a price cause i have a car sitting right now and its killing me. thanks
