Can anyone help on this, looking to replace the TCC and other shift solenoids while I have the tranny 'side pan' off. Problem is, what's the easiest way to get the cover off and access these solenoids? Thanks.

There is a thread on the TCCA. I think a search will find many other threads on it.

Get a rebuilt valve body off ebay and order the teflon seals for the pump shaft this should fix ya up. A failing tcc solenoid will not cause a p1744. P1744 is a mechanical problem. Make sure you remove the mlp sensor when you remove the side cover, don't break it like i did.

Thanks. I'll keep it in mind Paul. I might need another tranny at this point. I have to investigate if it's just torque lockup or if it's missing during operation. Over 188k on the original right now.
