this just started a few days ago I have now noticed that in 3rd or higher when I'm still in gear and not giving the car gas I hear and feel through the shifter a tapping. if teh cluthc is put down it gets louder until I put it back under load. The car doesn't drive any differently but the aping gets loaud and it just shouldn't be doing this. the tapping is speed sensitive and slow enough to say its on the tranny side of the clutch. RPM's make no difference.
any idea as to what this could be would be are appreciated. I am worried that I will need a tranny rebuild before this is over.
