tail light covers

got pulled over tonight for my tail light covers... first time in my new car... does anyone else have these and have any trouble at nite??? i think i am going to upgrade to LED's because they are alot brighter... any thoughts???

certain states have certain laws...
i know here, you cannot have them on at all at night. even if they can see your tailights...
i would check with you local laws and verify this...

the policeman told me they are not illegal as long as a normal amount of visible light is still present... he didnt have a problem with the headlight covers even though they significantly dim the headlights because they are still bright enough to be seen... but the tails are pretty dim... i am hoping LED's will improve this situation because i really like them. i have a green car so as much black as i can get on it im gonna put.

I had the same problem, if you get the nightshades spray can it works the best. You can put a few coats and clear coat on and the light shines throgh fine.

try the LED first. if they dont signifigantly improve lighting, ditch the taillight covers, and buy the nightshade rattle can as stated above...

or pair the two up, and you wont have to worry about them again... IMO.
