So I was driving, and gave the car a bit of throttle in first, when for some reason the throttle stuck, the pedal seemed fine and not stuck on anything so I immediately shut it off. I then restarted it and now I have no tach (its at about zero). Its not the cam sensor. I tried revving it up to see if it would come back to life but no go.

Any ideas? I havent checked the fuses and stuff yet cause Im at work, I just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

Thanks alot

My throttle stuck on me a few times the other week. found that the spring on the TB was all junked up and catching. Cleaned it with some carb cleaner and WD-40 and it's smooth as silk now. Scared the $hit out of me the first time it happened.

Yeah it scared me too because its supercharged so it hit the rev limiter quick. Lucky nothing bad happened, I just need to make sure it doesnt happen again.

Ill check out that spring, thanks for replying.

Yeah, I was hauling up on rush hour traffic. NOT FUN! Thanksfully I was almost home. Barely stuck the next day, so drove about 5 miles speeding up and slowing down until I got to my exit. Found it stuck open about 3/8". Snapped it open a few times and seemed better. Doused it when I got home and haven't had any problems since.

Is the tach not working because the needle has gone all the way around once and is on the opposite side of the pin? That is what typically happens.

The needle will have to be reset....you are going to love how to fix this one: Let the car warm up, then take it for a spin....in 1st gear, take it up to the redline and the needle will spring backwards into place.
