I just got the motor running on my 91 today (a 3.2 I've spent the summer rebuilding in my spare time):woo-hoo: It started right up, but I noticed 2 problems. The fan is always on high, with the EATC on or off. This indicates a bad Blower control module, but I replaced it right before i took the motor out, and eveything worked fine (car has been sitting for about 1.5 years now though....). Could this possibly be the vacuum line that goes in between the two heater hoses? I noticed it was pulled out a little far into the engine bay, but I can't recall how it connects under the dash.
The other problem is the tach. First I thought it wasn't working, but then I noticed it is actually underneath the zero stop. Will I have to take the lens off the cluster to put it right? What would cause this (I've heard that high RPMs can cause this, but it's had no RPMs since March...)? I appreciate any suggestions or tips. Thanks!

I bet you can get that needle over that little stop. Pull it up slightly, and move it over the stop. However if it is truly spun all the way around, take the car out and bounce it off the rev limiter and that should fix it.:salute:

I'd rather not bounce a freshly rebuilt motor off the rev limiter. Any ideas on how the needle got there in the first place? Maybe a voltage spike when I reconnected the battery?

I'm really more concerned about the BCM problem. Any thoughts on that? Anyone?
