i went to advance auto parts yesterday and they show the stock replacement is a 180, i thought the stock one is 192 degrees.

It is, and always has been.

You need a 52mm t-stat with at least one jiggle valve. Whether you get 180F or 192F is up to you, people do use both. I just go the t-stat rack at Checker and pick out a Stant Superstat that's 52mm, jiggle valve, and the temp I want at the time. Whether or not you get one with the rear plunger is a matter of opinion as well. I've had good success with non-plunger t-stats.

For northern climes I'd stick with the 192F, but other than that it's not a huge difference. My 95 wouldn't get up to temp with a 180F (in AZ!) so I put a 192F back in, but the Pumpkin loves the 180F t-stat.

Ford as it , its Motorcraft RT1112 part number , still used in current Fords.

Up to date no-one had issues with that one. I am unsure of the Temp tho (180-192)

I installed this one: Stant Superstat number 65869, 52mm 194 degrees. I found some information that might be useful to you here: Thermostat Info
I hope this helps.
I thought that was yours Shoaz. :thumb: Nice write up, I installed that same one in my 94 and it is working just fine. Thanks for the tip!
