I noticed on one of the threads that one of you guys (AutoSHO maybe?) has T-bird rims. I seem to remember reading a long time ago somewhere that fwd and rwd rims are incompatible because of the offset of the rim. It said that basically, you might be able to bolt them on, but, your car would not handle correctly. Is this so? Personally, I think the genII rims are the best looking of the bunch, alot better than the t-birds. They remind me of SLO hubcaps, I think. But, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I 'spose.

The tbird somehow has an offset like ours thank god, which also allows us to run the 17x7 SVT Tbird rims, designed for the bird, but much better looking on ours :D

Right, the bolt pattern is identical and the offset is nearly identical.

I personally like the look of the directional slicers much better than these rims. The reason I bought them was because they were cheap ($30/rim), of good quality, and were 7" wide. They hold my autocross tires.

I've been running the turbine style T-bird wheel for a couple years on my SLO with no rubbing or any other problems at all, Just recently I put them on the SHO temporarily and they still look good on her.

Yes,
The offset is nearly identical, 39 compared to 42.

And the SHO center caps fit!! I have the same turbine wheels on my Slo wagon, with the blank center caps. For those who still have 11" or 10" front rotors, the T bird wheels serve as a great winter set.

If you're running factory brakes the turbine T-bird wheels (15x6.5" I believe) will indeed fit. I have the '96 brakes and wanted a 7" wheel so I bought four Super Coupe wheels (16x7").
