I have already started the swap and ran into a few differences. The 95 had a VAPS rack so I swapped my stock 92 rack back over. I had to replace the coil back and the plug was slightly different but I made that work. Anything else I may run into? Any other sensors with different plugs? anything else specifically different between 92 and 95? I have the 92 harness in the car with a 92 single speed fan and 92 CCRM module.

I just found out the alternators are different. I do not have the 95 harness so can I install my 92 alternator on the 95 bracket or do I have to swap brackets?

I guess I will post what I find as I go along then. I did have to swap the bracket over. Thanks. The belt is also different. The 95 seats the alternator in a different location so the belt is longer. I had to get a 92 belt to make it work. Motor should be in the car in a couple hours. I will post anything else I run into

My 92 was always a fluke so I doubt it will be faster than it used to be but since the original motor was pretty tired it should run a lot better. Found out the brakes are different just now.

The wiring harness below the intake, that services both the injectors and the alternator, is different between a 1995 and 1992 MTX application (will not plug to the main engine harness for example).

If you do swap harnesses I've been looking for a 95 MTX injector/alternator harness for my swap (going into a 95). Hope this helps - zak
