My wifes 97 has a clunking noise at low speeds coming from the front suspension. It has been there since we purchased the car 2 years ago and the dealer was unable to locate/fix the problem. It sounds like it is coming from the right front. I have heard stories of this being a common problem associated with the front sway bar bushings needing lubricated and/or replaced. Anybody having the same problems that were able to have repaired please respond.

Well, I have a 91 so I'm not sure how it'd compare but I have had recently problems with noise coming from my front suspension area. sdpatt replied to my problems in my post and had some good suggestions for me.

I'm not sure how relevant it will be for your car though. You may want to have the strut mtg. hardware checked out as well as the struts. Your sway bar end links do need to be checked and lubed or replaced as necessary. You could have some problems with tie rods (inner and/or outer) or you could have some problems with your springs, although I doubt it. But hey, anything could be possible.

Hope this helps out a bit. Welcome to the Forum!
