mmm k I have a 92 mtx

The only issue I've seen with it running bad is sometimes when you sitting at idle it will surge from 700rpm to 12-1500 rpm. When you turn into parking spot or something sometimes it will die like it's not idling it up enough when you turn kinda thing.

Anywho I pulled the codes. I then cleared the computer, took for a drive and read the codes again.
First time I got
172 - o2
176 - o2
182 - rich
219 - spout

2nd time....
217 coil 3 failure
219 spout failure

What I've changed recently when it started acting funny..... I switched over from the 2g alternator to the 95+ 3g alternator, not much change... belt size was different.
I also at the same time put in new o2 sensors, and since it's been running funny and putting the codes up.
I thought at first it's because the new alt puts out more juice, but I'm at a loss

surging as you describe is usually due to a sticky iac - but along with your other codes I think you have a vacuum leak that comes and goes, and this makes it difficult/impossible for the pcm to control idle speed.

172 and 176 are indicating that both banks are lean - this could be bad o2 sensors, not connected properly, or a significant vacuum leak.

182 is related to the 176 - it is saying that the pcm has leaned out the fuel trim as much as allowed in some segments. I'm thinking vacuum leak.

219 says the spout connector is not being seen - this could be a dirty connector, it could be bad wiring between the connector and it could be the pcm - we have seen all of those happen.

Carefully check all the vacuum lines to the intake. check to see if the idle kicks up if you press on the brake pedal hard (bad vac booster or bad cruise cutout switch). the line to the purge solenoid is particularly likely to leak, in my experience.

I didn't mention a couple things..... 1 if the car dies it's about impossible to start back up it spits and sputters but doesn't want to start (smells like gas).
2. The coolant hose under the IAC is a little kinked in a way, I had to put straight coolant line in because I couldn't find a replacement curvey windey hose... not sure if this has anything to do with tea in china but thought I'd mention it.
3. I'll try cleaning the IAC, I've been doing a search to find out exactly WHERE it is, I know it's by the intake and approximate location all that fun stuff... just not sure on the exact part that it is if you know what I mean?

4. I was gonna clean MAF but I'm not sure what tool to use to take it off, they look like torx with a little ****** in the middle wtf?

All I can think of currently

Just drill out that little ****** if you don't have a "security" torx bit. Or you can find them pretty easily at any hardware / auto parts store.
