You're going to have to be more specific than that. We can't just hand you every answer.

What specifically do you want to know? Basically, the turbo needs a header to go on, with oil feed/return lines. It will do the rest, you just need to be able to meter the air it intakes, provide it with enough fuel to prevent a lean condition.

You need to buy something that helps you locate the seach button on this forum, and something that teaches you how to do it.

Don't feel bad......every noob gets this.

first thing is to do all the maintainance then start from the ground up. Tires, suspension first. Having alot of power doesn't mean anything if you can't get it to the ground. :thumb:

i think he is basicly asking if anyone offers a kit. shoshop did i don't know if they still do though, there is someone working on a turbo kit for the manual SHO's but it is not complete as of yet but it is rumored that it will be finished soon.

average price to boost a SHO 3-4K

Not counting the Quaife, suspension, brakes, clutch, etc... I pieced my kit together for <$4k.

But not everyone can or wants to do it so they have a competent shop do the install and pay labor...for them it is much more than $4K

No offense, but I think the first thing you need is a book on boosting and engines.

Camming a forced induction streetcar is not the normal, cost effective school of thought. Second, you cannot put in "larger" cam lobes. You must put in a different set of camshafts. And lastly, larger valves is also not the first step and requires a buttload of machine work.

Based upon you inquiries, I'd say start at the beginning. Educate yourself on engines and modifications before throwing a buncha cash away.

Or if you have a buncha cash, throw it to a qualified or knowledgeable person in the area who can modify the **** out of your vehicle with out you touching a thing! :thumb:

Agreed. I am blessed and proud that I can and am willing to do all the work myself.

Camming a forced induction motor is actually ideal in getting more air in the combustion chambers. The only problem is the SHO does not have a FI cam that limits overlap. Another option is to buy some reground SHO cams and add some adjustable gears to limit how much fresh air/fuel you shove right out the exhaust.

If you look at some of the more common cars people modify, you'll find cams that are ideal for boost.

With all that said, the available cams for the SHO actually help out in power. I've had experience with both stage I and stage II cams from SHO Shop on boosted SHO's and both are making in excess of 500hp off of relatively 'low boost', which some of that can be accounted for the less restrictive cams.

As I've said before, the cams are not worth the money if you're already boosting the motor.

If you are paying over 5k for a single custom turbo install, you are getting ripped off in a big way.
