There are a few places left that will sell a kit for something like $5,000. Some old Sho Shop kits got up for sale used rarely here and on ebay. I would suggest you do a large amount of research before getting into boosting your Sho.

why is that ???

Because SHO motors were built by jesus, which is why they are so fast and made out of pure awesomeness. If you would like to supercharge your SHO then you will have to take a bath with a microwave, go to the pearly gates, talk to jesus, ask for a supercharger and the instructions, then go see buda, ask him to reincarnate you into a frog, kiss a prince, become human again, find a job, buy a SHO, and install the sugercharger you got from Jesus. Just be sure to not lose the instructions. I here his HELP line always rings busy or goes to his voicemail.

It can be done, just depends on how much time and money you want to spend. I think the only place that sells a kit is FPS (as Sam said). Besides that you are building your own. You would need to address the harware mounting, the fueling system/maf and be able to tune it. You probably would want to invest in some replacment transmissions also for when it goes out.

You could also check with North Texas Performance, but I think their's are set up for the MTX.

You could always just spray it. It would require less time/money. Of course you would end up paying to refill the bottle and you would still end up killing your trans.

To simplify all this :

Yes its possible but its gonna cost ya. Theres barely any kits out there that are bolt on. If you find one - its gonna cost you an arm and leg.

The other option is to grab a universal SC and make it fit , if you dont do the custom work yourself , its gonna cost you again.

Then you will have to either upgrade the ATX (cause it will never hold the power- specially if yours was never rebuilt) or do a atx/mtx swap. Again , dolla signs.

Got $10,000? If so, yes

Scratch that. You're gonna need $45,000. $10k for the mods to your SHO and $30k for a truck and trailer to bring it home when it explodes. The other $5000 is for the repairs and diesel

the search button can save you a lot of embarrassment and harassment and will cause you to learn much more than what you got from all the smart-*ss's above.

however, its not as much fun for the rest of us.....

there are only a couple post on here that provide useful information. I put a turbo to my ATX SHO and set and held the 1/4 mile record for over 3 years. The car was outstanding to drive but I killed 6 transmissions in total in the time I had the car. 4 were while it was boosted. When I spoke to doug at FPS when I ordered his built transmission he told me it will not reliably hold more than 8psi... What does he know anyway. I was 17 and it was great on 12+ psi. Then I popped a trans, and another, and another, and another... My last one was on 6-8psi and it was fantastic... shit he was right. If I would have listened I would have saved myself A INSANE amount of money. I think a stock trans with a good tune would probably hold 6psi for a while if you drive it right.

The auto trans gets really hot really fast when you make good power And that was a big part of my problem. But my god is it a fun car to drive. You guys are outragous with your claims of how much it is going to cost. Call FPS and order a kit. Install it and have fun. Just know it will drastically decrease the life of your trans and a built one will be in your future.

You are looking at about 10K for a built trans and S/C kit though. Being someone that has been there and done that. It pains me to say this but I don't recommend it. You can get a whole lot of car for 10K that is not a 20 year old taurus. :(

Ben Bentley (not out here anymore) built probably the first s/c ATX (his '93) back about '99 or so (he ran it in '00 for the '00 Convention). he had it pretty well sorted out, but said one time "it isn't a SHO anymore". He still has the car, but has long-since pulled off the blower. He would discuss it, and I could put you in touch with him if you wish.
