Sunshade felt removal

I wrote awhile back inquiring about sunshade removal for my 92 sho and was given a link which was very helpful. But it lacked instruction on removing the failing felt that was on the sunshade. I tried soapy water and scraping with no luck. Then tried goo gone with no avail., then bug and tar remover. And finally I used a water cleanup furniture stripper that finally did the job. Thought someone would appreciated this info.

I guess I am lucky- in a sense... Mine peeled off with little effort. I found it looks better, and will likely leave it shaved
