Hey how u guys doin? i jus wanted to say that i got a problem with my sunroof on my 95 SHO ATX and its jus that button for the sunroof is loose and u cant even put ur sunroof up ,and i tried to see if i can fix it but i cant cuz i tried to see if i can put the button back where it was so it can work again but i cant see anyhthing where to put it in, but the button is still there its not goin anywhere it jus that its loose and i cant fix it so is there anyone that can help me out??

If yours is like the GenI's, twist that circle with a slot in it a quarter turn and it can come out. Then you can remove the cover for the sunroof motor. DON'T PULL ON IT without disconnecting it right. You'll break how it goes back up.

The switch is connected to the cover with some stupid little plastic tabs. YOu can then glue or tape the switch back to the cover. Make sure it's good or it'll just break off when you push it with your finger again.

Sorry I can't explain exactly, mine right now has some ugly screws holding it all together since it's been broken. (By me. headbang )

I typed the steps where the other post is, in performance mods.

Use 3M double sided tape.

I broke the clips on my plastic console piece. headbang You used screws? Does it look really bad? Mine kinda sags, but the button works mint now.

I used screws to connect the switch to the cover, and screws right below the lights to keep the cover connected to the car.

Besides looking ghetto, the screws catch on the sunvisors and have made little tears on them..

Too bad I'm too broke to get a new cover for a while.

I think that thread was in the Electronics & Audio Forum ...try searching there first.

When I fixed my moonroof cover & switch, I used superglue and tiny screws (so tiny they did not go through the cover) to mount the switch assembly back onto the cover. I also used superglue to mount some small plastic strips on the inside front (where the lights are) edge of the cover to act as "tabs" to hold the cover in place. These new "tabs" snap under the prongs on the metal bracket that is mounted to the car with screws. Kind of hard to explain here, but it works good.
