In front of a 17" screen, beer in hand.
Does anyone know how to get this on if you've snapped the extremely underengineered plastic tabs on the front?

I had to replace the button and the assembly used to hold it down, but broke the front of the console in the process.

Thanks.

I had to fix mine up a few weeks ago, too. Kinda hard to describe, but I ended up supergluing some plastic strips on the inside front edge of the console to act as ridges which catch the tabs on the front metal bracket. The ridges were placed so that it resulted in a tight fit between the roof and the console once I slid the front of the console into place ...in fact, it is the force of the roof pushing back against the console that helps keep the new ridges firmly against the tabs. After popping the rear part of the console into place, it is all nice and snug and I've had no problems since even though I use the moonroof frequently.

Mine's all ghetto'd-

I took some screws and put them up through the end that the lights are on (towards rear of car) and into the mounts... Kinda ugly, but it works.

Careful, though, one of my sunvisors got ripped on a screw.
