My sunroof on my 89 leaks, but only when taken to a powerwash. I've noticed that the rear of the sunroof doesn't sit flush with the roof, it sits slightly below. Any idea's guys?

My 89's sunroof sits exactly the same way. It also leaks when (the only time) I take it to the powerwash. It only leaked when the washer sprayed it from the rear forward. I'm thinking it was designed so the water drains from front to back like when you drive down the road. I do need a new seal for it though as mine is now shot. Anyone have a line on a decent price for the seal that runs around the sunroof glass?

I read on a [email protected] post a couple of weeks ago that the proper sunroof vertical alignment is as follows: front edge 1mm below roof line; rear edge 1mm above roof line.

If you have the guts, feel free to "screw" with it!

Later.

It also seems that even if I try to line it up better by pushin the button up so it sit flush with the roof it makes it worse. And also when my sunroof is shut it makes this squeaking noise and if you barely open it it goes away
