I doubt if they are DOT legal. That could lead to huge problems if you are in an accident.

Didn't even know there was a dot rating on seats. Ill look into it. Thanks.
EDIT
I called Corbeau and they said they are not aware of any dot regulation on seats.

Simulated leather? I'd want to touch that material before spending $200 per seat. It might be fine, but it would suck if the material felt cheap. I've found that there is a quality difference between seats of different price ranges that shows up after a few months.

A cloth seat will hold you in much better than leather, too.

Yeah I’m not crazy about the simulated leather either. I guess I was just wondering if any of the non brand name seats are any good. The APC's are fabric and I was leaning in their direction. I was looking at corbeaus, but they bite into my rim/tire money.

Use the tires and seats from your Z. :)

I believe seats can be DOT regulated. I've also heard of FIA homologated (is that a word or did I just make it up?) which is apparently the seat to get.

Back when Sport Compact Car was a decent magazine, they had a very good article on selecting seats (what to look for, different ratings, etc). If I can find it in my room (ha!) you can borrow it (or I'll just copy it). It may also be archived on their website.

I tried, the seats mounting points are too far apart.
