Sudden Popping exhaust and power loss

Well, I was driving my *freshly passed emossions* 1993 taurus sho and suddenly my exhaust started making popping sounds and when the sound happens (which is rapid like machine gun fire) it seems like the engine lags really badly... Its got all new sensors and cats so does anyone have any ideas? When you rev it in park, you can hear it a tiny bit but nothing major like when youre accelerating, at idle theres no sound and it idles perfectly.

Well it could be unburned fuel in the exhaust. Exhaust leaks cause the noise but should not cause engine lagging. It could be a timing issue. Mostly looks like unignited fuel in the cylinder so possible,, timing, ignition, fuel issue. Or very rare is maybe a catalyst chunk is choking off the exhaust. Did you check and see if it left a code stored in memory?

Pull the codes first. It's easy and free. If you can ever get a diagnostic shortcut, take it.

Real quick here's an update, so when you step on it really hard, once the RPMs go up enough it goes away, and it seems worse when the engine starts warming up.

It also says "10" and "111" on the code reader which should mean its fine i think

Lastly, can someone identify this white thing for me? Its creating an audible buzzing sound as my engines running... Its the thing that the end of my hose clamp is "pointing" at

I pm'd him... In the meantime, ima go pull each spark plug out and see if any of them look especially rich or lean... Ill update with the spark plug wire brand along with my findings here in a féw....

Do you have access to a second pair of hands? If you can create the noise above idle in park, someone can push the go pedal while you try to isolate the noise if it's not possible to do so by manually operating the throttle.i.e. if you need to crawl around the engine bay or under the car. This would only really help with vacuum leaks in a hose or exhaust.

So when it first happened, I was just driving going like 45 miles an hour when I went to pass someone and it suddenly started making the sound and it didn't accelerate nearly as quickly as it should have. So I went home and the next day I did an inspection of everything and I figured out that I forgot to tighten my rear O2 sensor with a wrench so it was a little loose so I tightened it down with a wrench drove it for about 5 minutes in the problem seemed to pretty much clear up so I thought that was it, but now it's doing again and I've checked everything and nothing is loose.
