Well my battery keeps on dying off and on, i could not figure it out, i have a new optimum battery. Well when i was working on a custom project.....(soon to be show on here) i could hear a like bumb heart beat, i poped the trunk and it was the subs..... started the car then shut it off and they dint do it again. My guess is its the subs that keep doing it, its only when the cars off....

Better go through your wiring setup for the subs. Check grounding areas especially, and you might as well check the HU too. Is your remote wire connected properly?

then your amp is turned on and getting power till the battery dies. Try hooking the remote turn on wire to the drak blue wire in the aftermarket harness marked remote turn-on.

While you're at it, make sure the dark blue remote turn-on wire is connected to the same wire coming off your HU. :thumb:

There is no dark blue wire....... the only one has a little tag that says " DO NOT CONNECT TO 12V or GROUND WIRE"

That could be it. Connect it and test whether the amp turns on. Or, see what voltage comes out of it with a multimeter by testing it when the HU is powered up.

what color it is??? blue with a strip of black or white? that is usually it, for a power antena or amp... or you could be ghetto and put in an inline switch, or find somthing in the fuse box that is only powered when you turn the car on... like the RADIO fuse, then buy a inline fuse with a 5 amp or so amp, and wire it that way. that's how I've got my subs hooked up with the factory radio.

Move the amp turn-on lead to the blue/white wire. Your amp should now only power up when the HU is on.

Just for clarification, the blue-white wire should run from the HU to the amp. You do not need a fuse on this wire. Depending on your HU, you may need to turn the subwoofer control on. My old Alpine and some Pioneers and other models do this.

Good luck!
