Ford is doing my recall on mon. I was wondering after this is done, will i be able to install my aluminum bushings without any problems? I ordered the ones without the recall kits.

How did you go about getting it scheduled? I just bought a 91 that was originally a Wisconsin car, then Illinois, and on the way home I noticed some sudden steering changes (at 70 mph!). Just crawled underneath and noticed the drivers rear mount was hanging low and the bolt wasn't even connected. Looks like the nut rusted and blew up! Want to get this done asap so I can drive it!

Pick up another recall kit for the front. They only fix the rear. You should find the rear a lot easier to do anyway.

I had went in on last Wed. to Ford in my town to see if a recall was ever done on my 95. The service manager looked it up and said that it looked like it had never been done. Then he proceeded to give me a 1-800 # and told me to contact some sort of customer service to see if it shows up on Ford's file? I was just wondering if anyone else had to do this-or if it was just that Ford in my town just did not want to do the recall?? Cuz thats what it sounds like to me!!

It will be much easier, because they hog a hole in the floor board for acces to the rear nut plates.

Thanks for the imput. I just called the local Ford dealer and gave them my vin. They said the recall had never been done so they would do it for free. Does anyone know of a place where i could get a recall kit besides mail ordering one from MidwestSHO? THANKS

Any Ford dealer north of the Mason-Dixon line should have it in stock. It will cost you about $16 outright.

Buy one kit so you have fresh bolts for the front SFBs. The rear bolts will be brand new since they get replaced in the recall.
