I was woundering what the actual recall meant. Does it mean I can bring my car to a ford dealer if it hasn't been done and they will supply the recall kit and labor for free?? Or something to this sort. This will be for a 90 SHO.

I know the bushings wouldn't be included.
But I thought I heard some where that the floor board has to have a hole cut out to gain access to stuff you need to get at. Maybe I'm wrong about this, I hope I am.
I've done the ASFB on 2 of my gen3's and it's pretty easy to do now. But I've never had to replace the nut that goes on the end of the bolt either, like the one that coems in the recall kit.

you are right sir, a hoel is cut in the floor on both the passenger and drivers side and that nut is replaced with a HD plate and nut. The dealer shoudl do it since it was a saft recall for free. However some dealers are real ***** about it. To see if yours was done jsut pull back the carpet on the front passenger side and see if there is a rubber plug there. I say passenger that way the peddles arnt in the way it makes it easier to check.

I'll check it out as soon as I can. It's my dads car and he doesn't live with me. But he is supposed to stop by today.
I had him call his local ford dealer to ask about the recall and he said they told him that they couldn't find it so either every car got it done (yeah right:nut: ) or else the recall expired (I dind't know recall can expire).

So if it's possilbe can someone PLEASE give me the recall number for this so I can get it to the dealer and see what they say. I may have to talk to a supervisor.

You will need to take off some trim to lift up the carpet so have a medium sized phillips head at the ready.

yeah the trim is easy to take off and as far as calling the dealer I did that but did trust them and checked the car myself because I didn't feel like dying yet:nut:

Word, ask NotSoSlowSHO, he check his for the recall, it wasn't done. But a (st)(d)ealer in Sacramento California said they did it and collected from Ford for the job.
