subframe and steering?

what is the best way to get the subframe back up and in line with the mounting positions? and also what is the best way to line the steering knuckle back up and getting it on the shaft?

I found the best way to line up the subframe is to put a jack under the rear side of the subframe in the middle and two jack stands on each side in the front. Raise the rear slowly, line everything up that needs to be lined up. Start threading in the rear subframe bolts partway then move the jack to the middle of the front of the subframe and start raising it there. When the subframe is close enough to the holes start threading in those bolts. Before tightening all the subframe bolts down make sure everything is in place and align the subframe with the body as needed.

There are two holes in the front of the subframe, one on the front left and one on the front right, that can be aligned from underneath with a piece of conduit or a socket wrench (or some such thing). One is a slot and one is a hole. With the subframe slighty loose you can align it with the conduit or socket wrench in the hole, snug down that corner, and then align the other side with the same tool in the slot. It's pretty easy to figure out.

This helps get the subframe reasonably well aligned so that the wheel alignment can be done consistently.
