Ok here is the scoop.I will try to keep it short.

I put a system in my g/f's 96 mustang. Last weekend the sub stopped working, its a 10inch Rockford powered by a 120 amp or so.

Here is the kicker. If u push down on the sub a little it works, so here is my take on what happened. She turned it up to loud when it was cold and one or both of the wires that connect to the cone of the woofer detached.

North Dakota Winters shoot

I have not looked at it or I would know for sure, but I think that is the prob. So here is my Q, is there anyway to solder that or am I screwed and have to buy a new one? I wasn't sure if they use some special solder or glue or what exactly as I don't know a lot more than the basics.

Thanx

Yes that's what happened. The wires ae too small to solder. You can get it re-coned for about $20 somewhere though I bet.
