Stupid question regarding codes

Ok, just pulled the coeds form my 92 and I got a 176 -system Lean LH.

Is LH the front or the back? I would say the front.

Correct, LH is the front bank. When sitting in the drivers seat, picture the motor swung around 90 degrees to the left with the accessories to the front of the car as if it were a RWD car. LH and RH sides are determined as if sitting in the drivers seat.
