I've been working on a 60k on my ATX for the last two or three months, working on it as time, energy and motivation allows. I'm finally getting this thing back together and made a horrible realization. Between time, myself moving around and animals, I'm really not sure what bolts go where on the timing covers. Does anyone have a diagram of those? Also how does the crank sensor wire attach to the middle cover (I did not see it when I took it apart to make a mental note)?

I believe the crank sensor wire is held onto the middle timing cover by way of a rubber grommet that fits in a slot in the cover.

well, its not too hard to figure out which bolt goes where, because it will either be clearly too short, clearly too long, or work. If you get all of them in the "work" category, you are fine.

Get the timing covers and crank sensor harness right. Otherwise your crank sensor will end up like this.

Now I remember better. The Crank sensor harness has a plastic ****** with a hole in it taped to it. The hole slips over a stud-bolt that holds the water pump to the block. That keeps the harness away from the spinny things.

the plastic thing is in between the two tape rolls you routed to the left of the engine block around water pump. (dont route it the way it is on this picture)

So clean and shiny! :) Very awesome pics. Those should help a lot.

My middle timing cover doesn't have the cutout but the water pump does. I'm going to assume that it goes there.
