Ok, still having problems with my clutch. The problem: Won't fully disengage from the flywheel so you can't shift gears. It's a brand new Southbend TZ clutch, the flywheel has only been machined one other time so this would be only the 2nd time it's ever been resurfaced, the TOB is a brand new SHONUT Ceramic unit. My mechanic said this: When everything was put back together, the car drives fine. BUT, after you pull up on the clutch pedal to have it self-adjust the quadrant, THEN the clutch will no longer disengage. We changed out the quadrant with a brand new one, it STILL does the same thing. The fact that the car drives fine without the quadrant adjusted makes me think that there should be nothing wrong with the clutch/pressure plate. I also looked at the trans with the TOB installed while it was all sitting on a stand off of the car, you can tell there's nothing wrong there ALTHOUGH the TOB wiggles ever so slightly on the sleeve that it sits on, but my mechanic says that is absolutely not the problem. What else can be going on here??
