Heys guys just seeing if anyone had experienced a similiar problem to what I am experiencing. Whenever under hard acceleration or moderate to hard cornering I get subframe pop.(my sfb's are shot this I know), also my alighnment gets severly altered, as in to go straight my steering wheel is 60 to 70 degrees out of 12 o'clock. The steering wheel only goes out of faze to the right. I have checked my strut rod bushings and they seem to be tight. Can bad strut rod recievers in the subframe cause this to happen so severly, or is it a combination of the two. My ball joints and tie rods are fine, and I replaced the struts, springs, mounts and bearings. Also when I make a sharp corner or make a u turn I get a spot were the wheel doesn't turn to full lock like it's stuck, it could be the rack but just wanted to rule out the strut rod issue first. Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Change the subframe bushings before worrying about anything else, they'll probably fix most of your issues.

How rusty is the car? Hopefully you don't have a broken subframe.

It is a rust belt car, but as far as i can tell the subframe is solid, but I guess I wont know untill I do the sfb's.

The cups that accepts the bushings sometimes gets loose (eventhough they are pressed or welded to the subframe). This condition is sometimes called the broken subframe. Moog got a fix for that if even you find out its that.

Oh ok, I was dreading thinking that the whole sub frame could be junk, but I have heard of the moog fix for the rods/subframe.
