hi all long time no problems :)
Well I have a problem with my springs
I bought my 93 ATX last year and the front struts and springs were repalced at the dealer befroe I bought it. now what did they use for springs???
they are ford springs and struts. Now I have to replace the rear springs and struts, And am not going to the stealership to get it done. I read all the feed back from people on the forum but I don't want to cut the moog springs if the front are going to be higher when finished. Now do the dealerships have orginal springs for the sho?????? or did they last year?????

PLEASE HELP ME I DON"T WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED TO SEE THE REAR STILL SITTING LOWER THEN THE FRONT

THANKS
MIKE EVANS

Moog rears coils (uncut) and either motorcraft or monroe struts would be perfect for ya.

check my sig for moog info.

Well is this not going to make it sit to high. I read that everyone is cutting them 1 coil??? i used your page yesterday for guidance and had to ask questions. also NAPA does not sell MOOG parts anymore in CANADA. But CARQUEST does. They are $107 (CAN) for the pair and stutus are $100 (CAN) each.

No, for a stock (almost) ride height with MOOGs, you cut one coil from the fronts, and leave the rears as is. I have this setup. Click the link to my webpage (not the MOOG CC page) and you can see how it sits. it is very close to stock.

Since you have a stock setup in front, just throw some moogs on the rears and call it good :thumb:

And cut 1 coil from the front and 1.5 on the rears, but achieved a 1" drop all around on my ATX...

Dale has a Gen I, so his results are a bit different...Thanks to Dale, I am really happy about the Moog selection!

There should be a small tag on the springs from Ford. That gives the spring rate. It would be better to look at it and find out what you have, then see what would match up to it. Get the info off the tag, if its there, then come back for the spring rates.

ok I will just put the MOOGS in as is then I will go from there as I have the spring compresser at work to use. Thanks for the info. The front springs are regular Taurus springs from ford. I called the prevous owner and asked him.
Thanks again for the quick response.
