Strange Tranny Sounds

Im going to take my best shot at this so here it goes. My tranny is acting fine, but lately Ive started hearing strange sounds only when Im outside the car. The best way to describe it would be a low pitched flapping sound. If you smack a pad of paper on the palm of your hand, it would sorta sound like that but over and over. Any idea what would cause that?

Use a stethoscope yet? Feel any vibration on tranny case? Strap failure hitting the bell housing?

Im kind of interested to hear what this might be. My white 93 i used to have 3 shos ago made this kind of noise. Fluid level was fine and it drove just fine. To my knowledge the guy that bought it is still driving it on that clutch. I never did figure out what the noise was.

What's your clutch and throw out bearing? My guess is the throw out bearing.
