Has anyone had this happen, or is it only me?
Driving the 89 along and temp needle went up and a big cloud of white smoke appeared behind the car. Looked underneath and the bottom rad hose is off the rad spout.
The rad was replaced about 4 years ago, so if it is a poor install, it took 4 years for anything to happen. My other thought is maybe the bottom rad hose froze and the expansion pushed the hose back off the rad spout. It has me perplexed as it has never overheated or acted like it was having issues in the rad department.
I put the hose back on and used the same hose clamp, and there are no other issues.
Any guesses?

I am going to write it off as another quirky thing that only happens to me.
The weather is cold, the roads are rough, and maybe it did take 4 years for the clamp to move from the high spot down to the smaller diameter and finally off.
I drive a round trip of 240 miles weekly on a road where half of the distance is in an exclusive tow zone where it takes $120.00 to tow you to the nearest exit, so I am glad it didn't happen there.
