i noticed the last couple of days that my SHO only starts correctly when i have all the accessories off. if i leave the defrost on or heat when turning the engine off, i'll try to start it later on, maybe an hour or two after and it won't turn over. then i'll have to hold the gas pedal to the floor and start it, at which point it will. anyone knows about this issue? any advice would help. thanks

You may need to perform a bit more diagnostics as to the cause of the hard start condition. Holding the gas pedal to the floor while cranking the engine causes the fuel injectors not to inject fuel into the cylinders as if to start a flooded engine. About the only way to flood a fuel injected engine is to have a leaking fuel injector.

so is holding the gas pedal a bad thing? i'm not good with mechanics at all but i wanted to start doing some of the work myself. i mean things like changing brake bads, oil change and other basic things i can do but i don't want to bring it to my mechanic every time either cause it seems as if he doesn't know much about SHO's. how would i do diagnostics on the car? where do i start?
