I have a strange new sound that I just heard today, coming from what I believe is the right side of my engine if you are standing in front of the car. I haven't heard this before. It is hard to describe to you, but I guess I will try my best. It is not a constant sound... It is not a tick either. More like a light rapping sound that goes Rap, Rap, Rap, Rap, Rap and then stops, Then it does it again and stops "Over and over". The engine has 106,650 miles on it. Is this normal, or am I in for an unpleasant surprise?? I just heard it for the first time this afternoon. It isn't loud enough to hear if the hood is shut, but I can hear it when it's up. I have noticed no performance, or acceleration problems even though it's making that noise. I have perfect fluid levels in my car also. Any help is appreciated!! Take care...
