I've been hearing this strange buzzing sound now for a few months, only seems to happen at highway speeds, or if I accelerate hard.. It sounds like it's the dashboard, but it's not, so it must be coming from the engine bay?

I made a video of it, you might have to use headphones in order to hear it.
I hope someone might know what this is :oogle:

I will do some research on that, as I have no clue what that is or does :p
But it seems to be louder with the tune, the car was returned to stock in that video.

Yes the heater fan motor... Was this on or off at the time of the buzzing?
Sorry for the stupidity haha! It was on during this video, I will take it for a spin today and turn it off. Let's see if that makes a difference.

Not sure if you found out what this was or not, so...it's a little hard to hear in the video but given what you're describing I had a similar issue after I had my windshield replaced. Turned out that it was actually the wiper blade catching the wind at highway speeds and vibrating. Didn't do it with the OE blades but the Rain-X ones I use it does it from time to time.

Here's a test to see if that's what it is. Go for a drive on the highway again to where you can hear the noise and simply turn on your wipers just once and see if the sound goes away immediately once they start moving. It will likely return once the wipers are back in their normal stopped position.

Just a thought and something to look at.

Didn't see this until now, so sorry for a late reply.
I've noticed that the sound seems to go away if I use my windshield washers, the wipers alone will not make the sound go away, but if I use the windshield washers it goes away. I guess it has something to do with the washers.

Came here looking for and answer to this.

I have a 2015 PP that does the exact same thing at highway speeds, especially when it's hot. I live in Alabama, so it's hot a lot.

Based on your video, we have the exact same issue. You're correct that the wipers alone do not make the issue go away. However, using the washer fluid does.

It's my guess that the vibration is coming from the plastic piece that runs along the bottom of the windshield. I would guess that warmer temperatures let it flex somewhat, and then air entering the grill makes that piece vibrate as some air escapes under it.

I'm considering running a bead of clear silicone under that plastic across the whole windshield to see if that fixes the problem. I would bet money that would fix it.

I never did find a solution for this problem, it still happens from time to time, seems to happen when you get it up to higher speeds or hard acceleration. It's very irritating, and if I use the windshield washers it goes away for a while and comes back.
I'm in Florida, so you could definitely be on to something when you mentioned heat! My dealer could not replicate the issue, they did hear it once when I took the service manager for a test drive, but never even bothered to figure it out...
