How in the **** do I change this damned clutch cable!?! I can't get the cable through the firewall if my life depended on it. Anyone know how to do this?

Brevity would be great as I am running out of daylight. :madflame::madflame::madflame::madflame:

EDIT: Feel free to call me as I am going to be wasting my time under the hood of the SHO until I can figure this SOB out. 816-877-4130

I know it doesn't help now, but usually people tie a string to the old one or maybe pass a string through the hole, then tie to the cable.

Next time yours is bad, go ahead and try replacing it on the side of a state highway, at dusk, by yourself, with only a AA flashlight with nearly dead batteries. :nut:

Sorry for calling and trying to help. First and last time I do that.
Next time bring it to a mechanic.

You could've probably got a lot closer to home if you shifted
without the clutch as long as you didn't have to stop.

half-way there, I think.

If you're careful, you can actually stop and start too. I had to do this in my Prelude many years ago when the hydraulic line split open.

I figured you could, I never had to try.

Or you could drive home on the starter. I laughed my ass off when I first heard of that. A customer brought his starter in for a defect exchange when I worked at napa and told us. I didn't think that would work for long enough to make it worth it.

You would definitely want to get it rolling juuuust a little before you tried that, otherwise the shock torque might blow the starter up...
