Does anyone know what the Sensitivity, Frequency Response, RMS Power Range, and impedance the stock speakers for a 94 premium sound, non-jbl system are. I just want the numbers so i can compare the difference between new and stock speakers. And has anyone ever had any expirence with Pyle Speakers, their sold at target for like 25 bucks and i read online how they arn't that bad, but i was just wondering if anyone had any first hand expirence. Tthanks.

Also what are those same spec's for the radio? I'm not sure if i want to just get new speakers or go all out, and i kinda don't want to lose my dash stereo controls by putting in an aftermarket radio, and i no that they have remotes, but don't they have to be pointed at the radio for them to work? Thanks again

pretty much anything is better than the stock, paper cone setup. Especially if the speakers are more than 5 years old.

Pyle is fine if you dont require super quality sound. Id put them in the same catagory as Pyramid. An economy brand. But they do normally have rubber surrounds and composite cones, so in terms of materials used they are much better than stock

Personally, if the stockers aren't blown throw in an aftermarket headunit and you should be happy. The stock HU is really weak and sucks out the low-end out when you turn it up. I had a Kenwood in my old 93 with the stock speakers and it sounded pretty good. Stock vs. $25-econo-brand, well, 6 of one 1/2 dozen of the other.

That man speaks truth, although I'm an idiot. I had the stock premium sound, along with stock speakers, but then I upgraded to a cheapy Pioneer deck and it was GOOD....then I got $100 in speakers, 2 ways in back and 3 ways in front and it was even better, but then, I thought I was going to sell the car, so I gave the head unit to a friend and now I got stock pos head unit with good speakers....it sucks. :bonk:

Dont waste your money on pyle speakers, they used to be a decent brand back in the late 80's but now they are just junk. I had just about any combination of stock and jbl and non stock systems in all my shos... For good sound out of a stock stereo, Just buy some stock jbl speakers and run them off of your premium sound amp. I did this with my green 93 since the previous owner sold the jbl amps and the jbl sub before i bought the car. Since that time I have aquired the jbl amps, and currently im running the jbl speakers in the car and the subwoofer amp is running a 10 inch ported sub in the trunk. For the money this was the best combination I could come up with. The jbl speakers have a nice frequency responce. The premium amp doesnt cut off the low freq from the interior speakers, so you would get decent bump from them without a sub.
