Stock Spark Plug replacement

Hey guys I need some help. I did some reading through the forums before I bought my replacement spark plugs. Because my car had right at 70K when I bought it I figured I'd replace the plugs because there was no history of them having been done yet. Here's what I bought and installed: Motorcraft Iridium SP-580 gapped at .032. I replaced the boots and the springs that contact the plugs at the same time. I'm going to replace the plugs when I go with my new tune and 3 bar MAP but am I set up correctly until then? I've seen that the gap on the colder plugs is usually set about .026. Should I be at the same gap, and if so have I lost power with my current set up? Thank you

Gap is correct at .026 for tuned vehicles. SP542 is what most people used to use until they stopped making it. The SP-580 isn't quite the same heat range if I remember correctly tho. What most of us who have been forced to switch use are the M-12405-35T plugs.

Thank you. I got my number from Rock Auto as a replacement for the superceded 534 which I believe superceded the original 528 spec.

Ya that's fine if you are running stock, but if you are tuning it you should check with your tuner and see what they recommend for plugs.
