I just did the drivers LCA and cam seals (still smokes, probably oil pan gasket next!). The steering wheel has been crooked ever since the OLD struts were put in about 6 years ago.

Now, after I did the LCA, it's straight.

What did I fix???

Your alignment is probably out of whack, and was wacky before too. The steering wheel being centered is just luck. You can center the steering wheel without affecting alignment by adjusting one tie rod in, and the other one out by the same amount of turns. With incorrect caster and camber, the wheels pointing straight doesn't mean your car goes down the road straight without pulling though.
