In retrospect, black interior swaps are over-rated. That is all.

Remove bolt.

Grab wheel at 3 and 9.

Pull backwards on it while rocking each side forward and backward (basically like trying to wiggle the wheel off, except using more muscle).

The wheel will be really tight and hard to move, but it will loosen up and slide off.

I've probably done 7 or 8 Ford wheels this way, it works for me.

reminds me of a cartoon in HOT ROD way back when safety collapsing steering columns were first arriving......

something about a big hairy knuckled guy, larger than needed persuader, and a failed attempt to install a new steering wheel. :laugh_ti:

Another way that works is to grab at 3 and 9 and pull straight back, quite hard, and have a friend tap the steering shaft where the nut goes with a hammer.

Protip:

Don't take the nut off. Just unscrew about 1/8" from the wheel, but leave it on the column. That way when the wheel breaks loose, you won't smash yourself in the face with it from pulling on it. Don't ask me how I found that one out...:nut:
