What up everybody? I'm back in Italy for 2+ more years and my SHO is on its' way here right now. I am planning a full Show build up for this car. I want to get rid of the bulky factory steering wheel w/ airbag. I have seen a couple members signatures with aftermarket wheels in their SHO's mostly Gen2's though. I have a 93' silver mtx for those who don't know. What hub adapters work on our cars? I've heard of mustang or ranger hubs working. If so what years? I will be putting a very expensive MOMO wheel in place of the original. I will try to relocate my cruise control functions to keep that functional even though I rarely use it. I pull the Airbag out of all my cars just because they are bulky and ugly.

Jose, that looks nice, but what's it weigh?

I need to work out a sw mount for the track car, but it needs to be light weight.

Eric, FWIW the overall package on mine is much lighter than the original wheel. The hub adapter is sort of heavy, but Momo wheels are usually nice and light. I do not believe I weighed them, but I would guesstimate a 3-4 lb loss overall. I should note that Jose's is much nicer looking than mine. I did not do a beauty collar of any sort.

J, Grant makes cruise control kits for their wheels. You may be able to adapt one to work.

Let us know how much those adapters are going to end up being! Also, does your horn work still with the custom adapter? Is there any way you could retrofit a clock spring so the horn will work?
