When I make a left turn from a stop the steering wheel hangs and I have to literally force it to come back to the right! Doesn't do it when making right turns, or when car is over 25Mph. What's up with that? Never had this happen before, and it's irritating!!!!

Perhaps VAPS is going...
You can try to unplug the electrical connector to the power steering rack. If that helps then your VAPS went to lunch.

Perhaps SFB/motormounts are going...
I've seen shakey subframes cause binding in the rack.

Yup... Both my motor mounts are shot. Forgot to mention that! I've replaced them 4 times now, and don't have the finances to keep doing it. I also hear a thump underneath the car when I shift into reverse or forward. It feels like the FRAME does it and not the mounts. I get a thump from the mounts when accelerating fast...

Now I'm thinking it has to do with those darn motor mounts...

Berfore my sub-frame bushings let go my car would do the same thing except when going right at slow speeds so you might check that out.

Also check your subframe, particularly the rear. My son had similar symptoms just prior to both the rears on his breaking. :oogle:

I don't think you'd have that problem down there in Texas since you're not in the rust belt, but who knows and it's certainly worth taking a look.
