steering slack

have slack in steering when jacked up not much but not sure if it is normal.

Would this be the fix.

The tie rod ends look good.

Do you mean there is a delay when you move the steering wheel before the tires begin their turn. And is it only when the tires are lifted off the ground on jack-stands?

steering wheel slack can be from any of the following:
loose u-joint on column
loose slip joint in column
rack loose on subframe
subframe loose on body
tie rod end loose/worn
ball joint worn
bad wheel bearing
