Will the steering kneckle off a 1994 Taurus GLNOT SHO. will they fit a 92 SHO without modification ?

Thanks David.

Yes im aware its a weird question, but im looking for ABS stuff, mine got replaced after a wreck(or something) and are lacking the sensor.

Yes, but the GL has to be an ABS car, otherwise you won't be able to mount the sensor.

Now, if you were running an '89 that wouldn't matter so much.

Fit? Yes. But they are different than the '92 knuckles. The brake setup is different.

What do you mean by the brake setup is different? Ive read some about it but never really been to caring it till now, picked up a 94 Hub for cheep at a junk yard while getting some other stuff. and hoping to do a swap, do i need the other hub to make this work or is not worth the work and do i need to find a SHO hub?

And yes the Hub is ABS. one reason we got it.

Yes, you need both front hubs to do the 96 upgrade. Which is what I am thinking you are saying by "to do a swap". If you don't have them, you also need the FN74 brake caliper brackets. I believe these are on some Lincoln's, I want to say continental's, I think there are others not sure tho. Or, the caliper brackets from a gen 3 taurus, not sure if those have to be SHO specific or not.

You will be able to bolt the 94 hub onto your 92, and it will connect to your suspension fine. Your brakes will not bolt to it.

You need to upgrade the other side to a 94 knuckle as well, then use 94-95 style brakes, or Gen 3 brakes. You can get the FN74 brackets from a Gen 3 SHO, or from later year normal Taurii.

Thanks, starting to make sense, now. Back to Junk yard! :nut:

So from what i can tell the FN74 brackets are on the 94-95 taurus's all mark viii's few continentals 2000+ sables, 3rd gen SHO's, and some other stuff?

so in other words just drop the whole braking and hub setup from the 94 taurus we've found. And throw in some fresh rotors and pads and it should be good?

You will need 94-95 calipers also for the fn74 brackets. The 92 calipers are different.

Sorry for the confusion, and redundancy, just making sure Ive got it right. i have access to the LVC forum and the Mark Viii's run the FN74 style Calipers and Brackets and Rotors that fit a 94 - 95 hub.

So THANK YOU so very much for the info. made this a **** of lot less stressful. :thankyou::thankyou::thankyou:
